Spring has Sprung!Yum
It’s hard in Ireland sometimes to decipher just when Spring has arrived. All those clouds and rain can make the winter seem never-ending. With daylight savings kicking in though, we’ve had an unseasonal bout of beautiful weather, and I’m set to enjoy it!
If you’ve been to Dublin before, you’re hopefully had a walk around Phoenix Park, the huge park just outside the city centre. Living with it right on my doorstep, I try to enjoy it as much as I can. So when the weather’s good, there’s no better place to be. With huge open fields, and the city as a backdrop, it’s a great place to get away from the hustle and bustle for a while (especially when you were raised in the countryside like me!).
It’s a great spot for a few pictures too, with huge herds of deer roaming around, and lots of lovely scenic areas. They’re pretty friendly, especially if they think you’ve got some food on you (sounds like a lot of people I know!).
I managed to get my partner in crime out for a walk too, which is always a bonus! He’s quite the leaper…
I don’t care what age you are. If you can’t let go and have a bit of a play every once in a while, you need to take a look at your life. Never lose your inner child!
There’s always a foody plus to such beautiful weather (other than the utter pleasure of having a beer in the sun with friends!). The small balcony herb garden I have is seriously soaking up the rays at the minute, so I’m hoping the summer with be filled with fresh, herby dishes. Just the thought is making me hungry!
